Camp Director 2024, 2025: Sheila Ann Smith

In ministry, her music and her message of hope and healing have taken her to five continents around the world, performing in concerts and speaking at events. When travel was not possible, she enjoyed opening a restaurant and bakery on PEI. She has conducted in-depth studies in health and nutrition and has developed wellness programs for the body, soul, and spirit. Watch for several of her books scheduled for release in Fall 2025.

Sheila Ann Smith holds a Bachelor of Religious Education from Rocky Mountain College in Calgary, Alberta, and a Master’s Degree in Music from California Baptist University. She has worked extensively in church and itinerant ministry as a Worship Leader, Speaker, Worship and Arts Pastor, and in children’s and youth ministry.

Sheila loves the outdoors camp ministry and introducing children and youth to the joy of activities, helping them grow and discover new things about God, themselves and the world around them.

Volunteer Nature Leader: Rosalyn Abbott

As Camp Keir’s first Nature Leader, Rosalyn will combine her passion for the natural world and working with youth,  while volunteering at Camp Keir this summer.  Leading campers in a new and fun interactive experience with the camp’s outdoor environment, she hopes to bring an awareness, sense of responsibility and an appreciation for God’s green earth to campers.

A former Camp Keir camper herself and Waterfront Director, Rosalyn trained as a Conservation Biologist, with a masters degree in primate conservation. She is a mom, a high-school science teacher and works with the PEI Department of Education and Early Years as a Curriculum Leader. She is an avid animal and plant lover and it is this passion she wishes to pass along to campers at Camp Keir!
